While technology is important, it isn't a silver bullet. TAP works with clients to make sure their businesses are financially healthy and profitable. We want to know what's important to you now, and in the future. We know that technology solutions must fit within this larger framework. This means we don't recommend fancy software purchases that your business can't afford today- instead we help you figure out how to build in technology upgrades to your budget as your company grows. Ultimately, a tech solution is no solution at all if it puts you in debt or makes your business processes more complicated.

There are consultants who specialize in analyzing and comparing software, and there are consultants who specialize in technology troubleshooting after you've bought it and used it. TAP aims to provide business clients with a partnership throughout the 5 Phases of implementing a new technology solution.

Since TAP is part of the federally-funded Northern California SBDC Network, we are held to strict standards in the arena of not "selling" to our clients. If we recommend one software solution over another, it is because it best meets your particular business needs-- not because we are getting a kick-back, or work for the software company on the side.

WOW...Your Tax Dollars at Work
All of the TAP services (consulting, training and tools) are either free or low-cost to the business client. Many clients who have worked with TAP in the past say that the assistance they received would have cost tens of thousands of dollars had they hired a technology consultant directly. We take pride in saving our clients money, and are able to do so because of our federal funding from the Small Business Administration. (Who says Uncle Sam has never done anything to help you!)
